LAE certification is a product certification that applies to software offering functions for deposit, search and communication, integrity guarantees for AIPs and logs produced, format migration, restitution and disposal within the framework of electronic archive management and governance rules.

INFOCERT is accredited by COFRAC for its product and service certification activity for the INFOCERT Electronic Archiving Software mark (Accreditation no. 5-0646. Scope available at http://www.cofrac.fr).

Who can apply for certification?

Certification is open to any applicant (commercial software publisher or legal entity that has created software for its own internal use) whose products : 

  • fall within the scope of application;
  • comply with certified specifications.

The applicant undertakes to comply with the certification standards and to take responsibility for compliance with all the requirements defined in the certification rules.

Scope of application : 

No distinction is made as to the nature of the software, in particular whether it is a software package, specifically developed software or non-commercial software.

All software that offers the functionalities of deposit, search and communication, integrity guarantees for AIP and logs produced, format migrations, restitution and disposal within the framework of electronic archive management and governance rules can be defined as electronic archiving software.
